Lifeguard & Recreation Assistant

About the role

Join GLL at Windrush Leisure Centre in Witney as a Lifeguard and Recreation Assistant. You will ensure the safety of pool users while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the centre.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through pool duties, supervising swimmers and maintaining a safe environment.
• Clean and set up the pool area, including equipment preparation.
• Provide first‑class customer service, answering queries and assisting visitors.
• Support other areas of the centre such as studios, gyms and sports halls by preparing spaces and performing general cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Friendly, approachable and able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Team‑player with a proactive, can‑do attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Passion for swimming and water safety.
