Logistics Specialist – International Trade & Documentation

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage international trade documentation, coordinate shipments and ensure compliance for heavy‑machinery imports and exports. The role will work closely with teams in China, the EU and the UK to guarantee smooth end‑to‑end logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage transit documentation for machines and spare parts, including Letters of Credit, duty and VAT payments, and import declarations for the UK and Ireland.
• Monitor cargo (import, export, local) in real time, produce tracking reports and liaise with shipping lines, ports, brokers and haulage providers to meet delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the China export team, product lines and EU Logistics Team to optimise cross‑regional movements.
• Negotiate shipping quotations, balancing cost efficiency with service commitments under time‑sensitive pressure.
• Ensure compliance with logistics standards, carbon‑emission reporting and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).

Required profile

• Proven experience in import/export and heavy‑machinery transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field.
• Highly organised, able to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
