Maintenance Electrician – Days & Nights Shift

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a well‑established manufacturing site in Leeds. You will play a pivotal part in keeping production machinery and site services running reliably across both day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on automated production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on industrial machinery and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and PLC programmes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Proven electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle day‑and‑night shift patterns.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to reliability.
