Maintenance Inspection Manager (Mechanical)

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is looking for an experienced Maintenance Inspection Manager (Mechanical) to act as the on‑site technical authority for Category 4 & 5 service works. You will lead mechanical maintenance, inspection and service activities, ensuring they meet customer requirements, technical specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead detailed inspections and maintenance tasks, guaranteeing compliance with mechanical, quality and safety standards.
• Serve as the primary on‑site technical expert and customer‑facing point of contact for all mechanical matters.
• Identify, report and help resolve mechanical deviations that affect performance or scope.
• Provide direction on dismantling, assembly, installation and maintenance procedures.
• Mentor field service teams on best practices and safe working methods.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Account Managers, Technical Services and other stakeholders to coordinate work execution.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes, cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Enforce QHSE standards through inductions, toolbox talks and risk assessments, and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and inspection, preferably in waste‑to‑X or related industrial environments.
• Familiarity with grate technology and experience driving site works.
• Willingness to travel during plant outages (approximately 2‑3 weeks per month).
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety, quality and teamwork.
