Maintenance Planner

About the role

Babcock is looking for a Maintenance Planner to work at Devonport Royal Dockyard near Plymouth, Devon. The role ensures the effective planning, coordination and delivery of facilities maintenance across a complex operational environment, supporting critical infrastructure and assets, compliance and operational efficiency. It is full time and permanent, based onsite, with hybrid working available after an initial onboarding and training period.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities so work is completed efficiently and in line with operational priorities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset information in planning systems
• Monitor compliance with maintenance standards and support external audit requirements
• Work with engineering, facilities and operational teams to prioritise and schedule work
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve service delivery, asset performance and business resilience

Required profile

• Experience in a facilities management or maintenance environment
• Demonstrable experience applying maintenance planning principles and best practice
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, priorities and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels of the organisation
• National Certificate or equivalent in an engineering discipline, facilities management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Ability to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance; eligibility may depend on place of birth, nationality and residency
