Management Accountant – Asset Management

About the role

We are partnering with a mid‑sized, FCA‑regulated asset management firm in London. The Management Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering monthly management accounts, supporting budgeting, and providing insight that drives senior leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and narrative commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly re‑forecasting across investment and operational teams.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items and ensure the integrity of general‑ledger data.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory financial statements and support external audit cycles.
• Monitor operational expenses, identify cost‑control opportunities, and maintain cash‑flow forecasts.
• Improve and document financial reporting procedures and internal‑control protocols.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or actively progressing towards qualification.
• Prior experience in asset management, funds administration, or a regulated financial‑services environment.
• Strong grounding in management accounting and experience producing financial statements.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance audiences.
• Self‑motivated, organised and comfortable working to tight reporting deadlines.
