Management Accountant

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing international business, is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team in Oldham. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements, with commentary and variance analysis.
• Manage the month‑end close process – journals, accruals, pre‑payments, balance‑sheet reconciliations and foreign‑currency revaluations.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and support statutory reporting and external audit.
• Analyse sales from multiple revenue streams, support inter‑company accounting and multi‑currency consolidations.
• Provide landed‑cost, margin and product‑level analysis to commercial and operational teams.
• Support the optimisation and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and identify automation opportunities.
• Mentor junior finance staff and collaborate with colleagues across the business.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) finance professional.
• Proactive, commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across functions.
