Management Accountant – Research – London (Hybrid)

About the role
This interim position supports a high‑profile not‑for‑profit research organisation in London. Over an initial three‑month period you will provide critical financial information, ensure compliance with grant‑funded activities and help research teams manage their budgets.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain financial schedules for cost‑sharing with research partners and liaise with senior accountants and budget holders.
- Prepare timely financial reconciliations and funder reports for all grants.
- Load and monitor budgets for externally funded research in line with the funder financial cycle.
- Support budget holders on smaller grants, including studentships and fellowships.
- Enter grant income and expenditure, and assist with grant costing for new applications.
Required profile
- Early‑stage student or part‑qualified accountant working towards ACCA/CIMA.
- Strong interest in accounting within a scientific research environment.
- High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
Required skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Agresso (preferred).
