Mandarin Speaking Treasury Trader

About the role

We are seeking a Mandarin‑speaking Treasury Trader to join our London office. The role focuses on managing the bank's liquidity, optimizing cash flows, and supporting the overall funding strategy while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage liquidity across bank accounts, including Nostro accounts, using inter‑bank lending/borrowing, FX, repo, and CD issuance.
• Maintain the branch Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) in line with head‑office requirements.
• Monitor and reduce funding costs, reporting significant market changes to senior management.
• Oversee a bond investment portfolio and develop an annual bond investment plan to sustain adequate high‑quality liquid assets (HQLA).
• Expand and maintain money‑market counterparties to secure competitive pricing for daily liquidity needs.
• Collaborate with internal departments on cross‑functional initiatives to maximise profitability.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by the Department Head or senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in banking liquidity management and treasury operations.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Highly responsible, productive, and capable of multitasking.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg.
• Proficiency with Reuters (Dealing).
• Proficiency with CFETS platforms.
