Manufacturing Line Leader - Production (Abattoir)

About the role

Morrisons is looking for a Manufacturing Line Leader for its abattoir production team in Northwich. You will oversee a small group of colleagues in a set area of the operation, driving standards so that delivery is consistent. The role is permanent, 38.5 hours per week, split between Week 1 (Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun) and Week 2 (Wed to Fri, 6am to 6pm), with a closing date of 5 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Provide the tools and training that help colleagues understand key ways of working and site processes
• Support colleagues and share knowledge, training new team members
• Operate and set up machinery, and carry out batch control and labelling
• Carry out audits and quality checks
• Report on the performance status of the production line

Required profile

• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Able to support and educate colleagues and build good working relationships with colleagues, peers and internal customers
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, including chilled environments and around raw meat
• Must have reached school leaving age
