Manufacturing / Production Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing / Production Operator to join our aerospace component facility near Welwyn Garden City. The role involves safe and efficient production, assembly and inspection of parts in line with engineering specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble aerospace components according to engineering drawings, specifications, SOPs and work instructions.
• Operate production equipment, machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform in‑process inspections and visual quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Complete all manufacturing and quality documentation accurately and promptly, maintaining full product traceability.
• Follow company procedures for quality, health and safety, environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Work safely at all times and comply with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including a face‑fit mask.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
• Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges, as well as hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy for recording production and quality information.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
