About the role
The Royal College of Music seeks a distinguished Marimba Professor to join its international faculty. This permanent, part‑time position begins in September 2026 and involves teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the highest level of technical and musical proficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in marimba performance and related subjects.
- Develop and deliver advanced technical and musical instruction.
- Mentor students to help them reach their full artistic potential.
- Enhance the college’s global perspective through international collaborations and contacts.
Required profile
- Widely recognised performer or teacher of marimba with an international reputation.
- Proven experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

- Understanding of the demands of a professional music career.
