Matchday Steward – Stadium Support Role

About the role

West Ham United is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its Matchday Stewarding Team across venues in East London and Essex. As a steward you will help create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for supporters, players and staff on match days and during academy events.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome supporters and visitors and provide directions.
• Act as the first point of contact, delivering excellent customer service.
• Monitor crowd safety, manage entry and exit points, and check tickets and accreditation.
• Prevent unauthorised access and manage conflicts professionally.
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure a smooth event operation.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work evenings and weekends.
• Friendly, approachable, professional appearance.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Willingness to learn, develop and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
