Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join the Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) where critical turbine blades for world‑leading jet engines are produced. As a Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician you will work alongside Manufacturing Service Engineers and Leaders to keep high‑tech machinery operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation issues to minimise downtime.
• Use precision diagnostic instruments, technical drawings and maintenance manuals to resolve faults.
• Implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost machine performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Advanced‑level apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Comfortable using computers and digital maintenance tools.
• Good understanding of HSE standards and ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (days and nights).
• Team‑oriented and adaptable to new challenges.
