Merchandiser – Retail Stock & Sales Analyst

About the role

As a Merchandiser based in Leeds, you will ensure the right products are available at the right time, supporting the retail business to run efficiently and profitably. You will combine data analysis with practical stock management to drive sales growth and optimise inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising over‑stock and shortages.
• Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with suppliers to secure timely deliveries and resolve supply‑chain issues.
• Collaborate with the buying team to forecast product needs and develop range plans.
• Monitor and adjust pricing strategies to achieve sales targets and maximise profitability.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance and inventory status for management review.
• Support promotional campaigns by ensuring adequate stock availability.
• Maintain effective communication across internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stock management and sales analysis within the retail sector.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with inventory management and reporting tools.
