About the role
Castle Donington College is seeking an enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher to join our 11‑16 secondary school. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality French or Spanish lessons, primarily at Key Stage 3 and, where possible, at GCSE level.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging MFL lessons for Years 7‑11.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and departmental planning.
- Participate in whole‑school activities, including staff meetings and safeguarding duties.
- Support pupils with diverse learning needs and promote inclusive practice.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of French and/or Spanish language and culture.
- Ability to teach at KS3 and ideally GCSE level.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Willingness to work collaboratively within a school community.
Required skills
- Proficiency in French or Spanish.
