Mixed Tax Manager – Corporate & Personal Tax

About the role

We are looking for a Mixed Tax Manager to support Client Directors in delivering high‑quality tax advice to corporate and personal clients. The role has a strong corporate tax focus while also covering personal tax matters, and will be based in the City of London with a hybrid working pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, acting as their primary tax advisor.
• Develop and deliver tax planning initiatives for corporate clients, including R&D relief, employee share schemes and EIS/SEIS applications.
• Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, schedules and computations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Produce Capital Allowances reports for audit clients and conduct research on complex tax issues.
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Liaise with HMRC on enquiries, negotiate where appropriate and act as the point of contact for internal tax queries.
• Review junior team members’ work, provide training and support as needed.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in tax legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in both corporate and personal tax within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of tax principles, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships and work effectively in a team.
• CTA qualification is advantageous.
