Mobile Software Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform

About the role

Join Cauli, the UK’s largest reusable packaging provider, as the lead mobile engineer. You will drive the migration of native iOS and Android applications into a unified Kotlin Multiplatform codebase while delivering new consumer‑facing and point‑of‑sale features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile apps using Kotlin for both Android and iOS.
• Architect and execute the transition to a single Kotlin Multiplatform codebase.
• Integrate lightweight web apps with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for container tracking.
• Collaborate directly with the Head of Tech and contribute to PHP/Laravel back‑ends.
• Occasionally work on Python code for Linux‑based smart‑bin hardware.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional mobile engineering experience.
• Strong production‑level Kotlin skills and solid native Android development expertise.
• Interest or experience in Kotlin Multiplatform and comfort targeting both Android and iOS.
• Startup mindset willing to touch backend code and hardware integrations while maintaining clean, production‑quality code.
