Multi Skilled Engineer – Mechanical Bias

About the role

We are seeking a mechanically‑biased multi‑skilled maintenance engineer for a permanent, full‑time position on a food manufacturing site in Taunton. The role offers a balanced work‑life schedule with no weekends or night shifts, operating on a rotating three‑shift pattern (early, day, late).

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on a variety of machinery.
• Respond to breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability.
• Work within a rotating three‑shift pattern (early start at 6 am, late finish at 10:30 pm) without night or weekend duties.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow health & safety procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in a mechanically‑biased maintenance role.
• Manufacturing background preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work early starts and late finishes and travel to the site at those times.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
