Multi-skilled Operator – Prison Refurbishment

About the role

You will be the on‑site Multi‑skilled Operator responsible for delivering safe and efficient refurbishment works within HMP Boston prison. The role involves hands‑on trade work, coordination of subcontractors and strict adherence to prison security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations and subcontractor activities across multiple trades.
• Coordinate internal and external upgrade works, including carpentry, general fabrication and fire‑protection packages.
• Maintain site records, permits, RAMS and progress reports in line with H&S legislation.
• Liaise with client representatives, prison authorities and project stakeholders.
• Control site logistics and security restrictions within the live custodial environment.
• Monitor programme delivery, quality standards and budget compliance.

Required profile

• Proven multi‑skilled experience in construction, refurbishment, FM or maintenance projects.
• Experience working in secure or live environments such as prisons, hospitals or MOD sites is highly advantageous.
• Full right to work in the UK and ability to pass enhanced prison security vetting.
• Clean criminal record with no convictions or cautions.
• Based within commuting distance of Boston, Lincolnshire.
