Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)

About the role

The Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer will join a leading FMCG manufacturing plant in Droitwich, working on a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern covering days and nights. You will be responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant equipment.
• Prioritise work using the planned maintenance system and record all activities in the electronic maintenance management system.
• Liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical support, spare parts and expertise.
• Analyse recurring breakdown trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2000 quality standards and departmental 5S programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG sector.
• Recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship.
• Willingness to work in a cold environment and on a 4‑on‑4‑off shift.
• IOSH and/or NEBOSH certification is advantageous.
