Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team at the Darwen site. Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, you will work hands‑on across both mechanical and electrical disciplines to keep plant equipment running safely and efficiently during your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and install mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Follow best‑practice engineering standards and work safely at all times.
• Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards on the shop floor.
• Record maintenance activities accurately and support preventive maintenance planning in SAP.
• Share knowledge and assist colleagues across the shift.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding capability.
• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., ONC, NVQ Level 3) or equivalent experience.
• Confidence using SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within a shift pattern.
