National Account Manager - Off Trade

About the role

An independent, fast-growing drinks business is looking for an Off-Trade National Account Manager based in London. The role is newly created and focuses on building the Off-Trade channel rather than inheriting an existing one. It is a hybrid position with regular office presence.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of developing and growing the UK Off-Trade channel
• Identify, open and win new customers across Grocery, Convenience, Impulse, Wholesale, Specialist and Online Retail
• Use your network of buyers and decision-makers to accelerate new business
• Build commercial propositions and pitch the portfolio to prospective customers
• Lead opportunities from introduction and negotiation through to launch and ongoing development
• Establish partnerships that deliver distribution, rate of sale and repeat purchase
• Work with the wider business to help shape the Off-Trade strategy

Required profile

• Proven Off-Trade sales experience within alcoholic drinks
• Existing buyer relationships across Grocery, Convenience, Impulse, Wholesale, Specialist and/or Online Retail
• Evidence of personally opening doors and winning new listings
• Comfortable negotiating with retail customers and confident presenting a proposition
• Experience in a challenger, SME, start-up or scale-up is highly advantageous
• Entrepreneurial, able to work autonomously, and willing to go beyond a traditional corporate sales role

What we offer

• Salary of £60,000 to £65,000 plus a car allowance and bonus
• Performance-related bonus and long-term incentive opportunity
