NDA Litigated File Handler – Legal Fraud Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and driven NDA Litigated File Handler to join Keoghs LLP’s counter‑fraud division in Lostock. The role involves managing a caseload of litigated road‑traffic‑accident (RTA) suspected fraud files for a range of insurance clients, working closely with senior lawyers and claims handlers to achieve commercially sound outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Run fraud cases from initiation through litigation to resolution, adhering to defined process stages.
• Conduct detailed review and forensic analysis of evidence throughout each case.
• Develop and agree case strategy with clients and lead lawyers, ensuring compliance with KYO or generic strategies.
• Make timely decisions in line with case strategy and client interests.
• Identify and pursue strategic litigation opportunities to shape the future of the counter‑fraud arena.
• Handle a variety of suspected fraudulent claim types, including bogus passenger, staged accidents, fraudulent exaggeration, low‑speed impacts, credit‑hire fraud and organised crime links.

Required profile

• Proven experience in handling litigated fraud files within the insurance or legal sector.
• Strong forensic and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex evidence.
• High commercial awareness and ability to work within tight decision‑making timeframes.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with lawyers, claims handlers and clients.
