New Patient Nurse

About the role

This is a fully remote, full‑time position at Montu, where you will serve as the first clinical point of contact for patients seeking cannabis‑based medical treatment. You will lead video‑based pre‑assessment consultations, gather comprehensive medical histories and decide whether patients should be referred to a specialist consultant.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct video‑based pre‑assessment consultations with prospective patients.
• Take detailed medical histories, including current medications, family history and prior treatments.
• Assess patient suitability for referral to Montu’s clinical consultants.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in the EMR system.
• Guide patients through the onboarding process and answer clinical questions.
• Escalate safeguarding concerns and contraindications according to Montu policy and national guidance.

Required profile

• NMC‑registered Nurse with at least 5 years post‑registration clinical experience.
• UK‑based nursing degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven ability to make autonomous clinical decisions with strong reasoning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, tech‑enabled environment.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, GDPR and clinical governance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with video consultation platforms.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
