About the role

Join Glenholme Healthcare at Vera James in Ely as a Night Shift Care Assistant. You will provide compassionate support to residents during the night, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support mobility around the home, including safe transfers.
• Oversee medication administration and provide basic medical assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and vacuuming.
• Prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents.

Required profile

• A friendly, welcoming smile.
• Excellent listening abilities.
• Quick thinking and adaptability.
• Patience and a good sense of humour.
• Willingness to engage in light activities, such as dancing with residents.

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS clearance (to be obtained).
