Nursery Nurse – Early Years Practitioner

About the role

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join our vibrant early years setting in Wimbledon. This full‑time position offers the chance to work with children across a range of ages, supporting their development in a warm, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities in collaboration with the team.
• Support fellow staff members and contribute to a positive team spirit.
• Liaise with parents and families, providing regular updates on children’s progress.
• Attend out‑of‑hours events such as training sessions, staff meetings and special nursery occasions.
• Assist with domestic tasks including snack preparation and equipment cleaning.
• Record accidents, maintain the accident book and ensure health and safety standards.
• Prepare meals, encourage social sharing at mealtimes, and provide personal care such as washing and changing.
• Uphold the nursery’s philosophy and high standards, respecting cultural and religious diversity.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in childcare or a strong interest in pursuing a career in early years education.
• Passion for working with young children and ability to provide comfort and support.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide two satisfactory references.
• Flexibility, reliability and a team‑oriented attitude.
