Nursery Teacher (ECT) – Chiswick Primary School

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher to join our one‑form entry Church of England primary school in Chiswick. You will lead a small Nursery class of 13 children, delivering high‑quality, play‑based learning in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS curriculum for a mixed‑age Nursery class, including a dedicated morning‑only group.
• Collaborate daily with an experienced Reception teacher and a Teaching Assistant to reflect on practice and improve outcomes.
• Assess children’s progress and maintain accurate records in line with EYFS standards.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, promoting inclusion and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the school’s Christian ethos and community activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher or recent graduate, eligible for Early Career Teacher status.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Passion for creating play‑based, curiosity‑driven learning experiences.
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and the values of a Church of England school.

Required skills

• Secure knowledge of EYFS statutory requirements.
• Ability to design and implement play‑based learning activities.
