About the role
We are seeking a dedicated One to One Maths Tutor to join Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth on a casual, term‑time basis. You will work directly with individual pupils, delivering tailored intervention programmes that support their mathematical progress and exam preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver one‑to‑one maths lessons aligned with the academy’s curriculum.
- Develop and adapt intervention materials, lesson plans and resources for each student.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, providing regular feedback to the Head of Department and classroom teachers.
- Support exam revision sessions and ensure compliance with child safeguarding procedures.
Required profile
- Graduate in a related subject, an AS/A2 level qualification in a relevant subject, or a qualified teacher.
- Excellent communication, listening, time‑management and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with department staff and adapt teaching approaches to individual needs.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of standard computer packages.
