Operations Administrator – Adviser Oversight (Hybrid)

About the role

This position supports a growing financial planning network by overseeing adviser onboarding, certification and ongoing compliance. It is a hybrid role based in Bristol, offering a blend of office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out due‑diligence checks for appointed representatives and manage DBS and adverse credit requests.
• Gather, review and chase firm documentation, conduct sanctions and negative‑media checks, and verify directorships.
• Manage initial and annual certification checks for staff, maintain FCA Directory records and track SPS renewals.
• Issue and review Fitness & Propriety questionnaires, verify qualifications, CPD and compliance evidence.
• Support learning enrolment via LMS platforms and maintain compliance policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in a compliance or adviser‑oversight role within financial services.
• Solid understanding of SM&CR and FCA regulatory requirements.
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Salary £33,000 per year (range £30,000‑£35,000) plus up to 10% bonus.
