Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead our Kilmarnock warehouse and drive operational excellence for a family‑owned food business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own day‑to‑day activities, ensure smooth order processing and maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, overseeing order processing, goods receipt and stock control.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buying, procurement, customer service and the production kitchen.
• Collaborate with Buying & Procurement to guarantee stock availability.
• Work with Customer Service to resolve order discrepancies and service issues.
• Partner with the Production Kitchen senior team to manage freezer stock and picking accuracy.
• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse team, fostering a safe and high‑performing environment.
• Maintain full health and safety compliance and own warehouse KPIs.
• Produce monthly performance updates for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑paced operational or warehouse environment.
• Background in food service or FMCG.
• Hands‑on leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with multiple departments.
• Strong organisational skills and customer focus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
