Operations Manager – Structural Engineering

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of our busy Structural Engineering team. Based in Sevenoaks, you will work within a well‑established multi‑disciplinary building and construction business, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards while driving operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Structural Engineers.
- Allocate workload and manage project delivery to meet deadlines.
- Maintain technical quality standards across all work.
- Review quotations to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Monitor project progress and overall operational performance.
- Liaise closely with Sales and Finance teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Required profile
- Previous management experience in Structural Engineering, engineering consultancy or construction.
- Alternatively, experience managing Mechanical or Electrical design teams.
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to motivate technical teams.
