Paraplanner – Financial Planning (Chelmsford)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a well‑established financial planning business in the Chelmsford area. You will work closely with advisers, providing technical support from research through to recommendation and implementation of client solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support advisers with technical research and analysis.
• Prepare high‑quality suitability reports and recommendations.
• Build and maintain cash‑flow models.
• Assist with complex financial planning queries and calculations.
• Attend client meetings when required and document outcomes.
• Manage client requests such as withdrawals, contributions, and policy amendments.
• Process new business and support ongoing case management.
• Liaise professionally with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or close to achieving it.
• Previous paraplanning experience within a financial planning environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and related products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
