Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support (Hybrid)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a successful and growing financial planning practice in Altrincham. The role is ideal for a highly organised, technically minded individual who enjoys supporting advisers, producing high‑quality client recommendations and delivering exceptional financial planning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse clients' financial circumstances, objectives and requirements.
• Develop and maintain cashflow models and financial planning reports.
• Prepare product illustrations, suitability reports, recommendation letters and supporting documentation.
• Maintain complete and accurate client files and back‑office records.
• Update cashflow models and carry out investment performance reviews.
• Produce financial planning reports, discussion papers and supporting analysis.
• Liaise with Financial Advisers to support the delivery of client recommendations.
• Coordinate with administration teams to ensure documentation and applications are completed accurately.
• Produce fund fact sheets and investment analysis using FE Analytics.
• Carry out risk assessments and compare risk ratings for investment recommendations.
• Complete risk assessments and pension analysis using industry software.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Keep up to date with product developments, legislation and market changes.
• Adhere to FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience within a Paraplanning role.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning products.
• Experience using financial planning and provider platforms.
• Familiarity with back‑office systems and financial software.
