Paraplanner – Hybrid (1 day in Bristol) or Fully Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our growing UK financial advisory firm. The position offers a hybrid model – one day a week in our Bristol office – with the possibility of fully remote work for the right candidate. You will support Financial Planners by delivering high‑quality suitability reports and technical research.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters.
• Assist with annual client reviews, valuations, and Annual Suitability Assessments.
• Conduct in‑depth research on investments, pensions, tax wrappers, protection products, and estate planning.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑meeting support to advisers and liaise with providers for policy information.
• Perform AML checks, identity verification, and maintain regulatory documentation.
• Ensure client files and CRM data are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with advisers, compliance teams, and investment specialists to improve paraplanning processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ paraplanning experience in a UK advisory firm.
• Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS or equivalent) or comparable qualification.
• Strong knowledge of DC & DB pensions, investments, ISAs, bonds, trusts and protection products.
• Excellent report‑writing, analytical and technical research abilities.
• Good understanding of FCA regulations, ongoing suitability and annual assessments.
