Part Time CBT Therapist – HMP Chelmsford

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time CBT Therapist to join The Forward Trust at HMP Chelmsford. The role involves delivering high‑intensity, evidence‑based psychological interventions to adults with common mental health difficulties, both individually and in therapeutic groups.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Deliver high‑intensity CBT interventions in line with IAPT/NHS Talking Therapies guidance.
• Provide individual and group‑based therapy sessions.
• Offer line management and support to the Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
• Undertake case management, clinical supervision and skills support where required.
• Contribute to service operations, including report writing and MDT meetings.
• Collaborate with the senior PWP and leadership team to improve service delivery.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, managers and partner organisations.
• Act as senior site representative when needed, upholding professional standards.
