Part-Time Load Planner

About the role

Greene King is looking for a part-time Load Planner for its Bury St Edmunds distribution centre. The role ensures that vehicle routes are planned so deliveries arrive on time, whether debriefing drivers or managing emergency orders. It is a permanent part-time position of 20 contracted hours per week, Monday to Friday, approximately 1:30pm to 5:30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and plan drivers using Dips transport planning software
• Control and plan an agreed amount of resources (vehicles and drivers) while meeting legal requirements such as the Working Time Directive and EU drivers' hours regulations
• Complete the daily plan efficiently, maximising utilisation and minimising cost
• Use in-house planning tools and systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency
• Communicate regularly with customer service teams and drivers so customer KPIs and targets are met

Required profile

• Previous experience in a multi-drop load planning role
• Ability to work independently and make decisions

Required skills

• Literacy in MS Office
• Experience of transport planning systems
