Parts Advisor – Automotive Parts Department

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, customer‑focused Parts Advisor to join our busy automotive parts department. You will supply vehicle parts and accessories to both internal workshop teams and external retail or trade customers, ensuring high service standards and departmental profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and supply vehicle parts accurately, handling enquiries by phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Develop and maintain relationships with retail and trade customers, promoting parts, accessories and manufacturer products.
• Process customer orders, quotations and provide workshop support by delivering the correct parts promptly.
• Liaise with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers to meet parts requirements and reduce vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate stock levels, receive and book deliveries, manage returns, warranty parts and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Participate in stock counts, audits and monitor fast‑moving and obsolete inventory.
• Process invoices, credits and purchase orders using dealer management systems, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Achieve parts sales targets, identify revenue opportunities and support promotional activities.

Required profile

• Experienced in automotive parts sales and customer service.
• Customer‑focused with strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Capable of supporting workshop operations in a fast‑paced dealership environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Dealer Management System (DMS) for parts ordering and record keeping.
• Stock control and inventory management.

• Salary £28,000–£34,000 per annum plus bonus.
