Part‑time MEWP Operator for Tunnel Inspection

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time, temporary Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Operator to support tunnel and infrastructure inspection projects in London. The role is site‑based, requiring a strong safety focus, attention to detail, and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights.

Key responsibilities

• Operate scissor lifts and cherry pickers to provide safe access for inspection teams.
• Assist inspection crews with visual checks, photography and recording observations.
• Support safe entry and egress in confined or working‑at‑height environments.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure inspections are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain equipment logs and report any issues promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in highways, tunnels, rail or infrastructure maintenance.
• IPAF 3a and 3b certification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work flexible, including night, shifts.

Required skills

• MEWP operation (scissor lifts, cherry picker).
• IPAF 3a certification.
• IPAF 3b certification.
