Part‑Time Senior Veterinary Assistant – Urgent Care

About the role

UrgentVet is seeking a part‑time Senior Veterinary Assistant to support fast‑paced urgent‑care clinics for dogs and cats. You will help deliver high‑quality patient care, lead team members, and provide excellent client service in a state‑of‑the‑art, paperless environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with common urgent cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia.
• Handle animal restraint, collect samples, perform phlebotomy, place catheters, and conduct laboratory analysis and drug calculations.
• Maintain clinic facilities, educate clients on care procedures, and support overall clinic operations.

Required profile

• Professional, dependable, with strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Energetic, pet‑friendly, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior customer‑service experience and experience working with animals in a veterinary hospital setting.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lb.
