Part‑time Year 2 Teacher – Stockport

About the role
This part‑time position is for a Year 2 teacher in a high‑performing primary school in Stockport. You will work two days a week (Thursday and Friday) delivering the KS1 curriculum to a mixed‑ability class of around 30 pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Create engaging lessons that meet Year 2 National Curriculum standards.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and use data to plan targeted interventions.
- Collaborate with a full‑time teaching assistant and a job‑share partner to plan resources and share best practice.
- Contribute to the school’s extra‑curricular programme on a rotational basis.
- Report progress to the SENDCO and adjust support for pupils with additional needs.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Strong references demonstrating experience in a Year 2 or KS1 setting.
- Ability to provide a CV covering the last ten years of employment, with any gaps explained.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the Year 2 National Curriculum and primary teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in using pupil data to inform planning and intervention.
