Payroll and Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance professional to lead international payroll and accounts payable operations for a fast‑growing technology organisation. The role is fully remote within the UK, offering autonomy while supporting a collaborative global team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing for the UK and multiple overseas locations.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure timely, compliant runs.
• Review payroll calculations, including tax, pension contributions and statutory payments.
• Work with HR on new starters, leavers, salary changes and other employee updates.
• Produce payroll reports and maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee employee expense reimbursements across international regions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities related to payroll and AP.
• Run the end‑to‑end accounts payable function: invoice processing, supplier payments and deadline monitoring.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve payment queries.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing both accounts payable and multi‑country payroll.
• Exposure to Portuguese payroll is a plus.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and drive process improvements.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
