People Advisor (Employee Relations)

About the role

Greene King is hiring a People Advisor (Employee Relations) on a dual-based basis. The role was created to provide extra resources in response to a temporary increase in workload and service demand, and runs for a 12-month fixed-term period while the business assesses and implements longer-term improvements to its systems, processes and operating models. It covers the busiest periods, Monday to Friday, 12pm to 7pm, with 35 scheduled hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage ER cases through the Case Management System with accurate details and timely updates.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails, communicating clearly with managers and wider stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships across the business to stay informed and support operational needs.
• Support letters, day-to-day ER administration and TUPE-related tasks.
• Act as a point of escalation for more complex queries.

Required profile

• Knowledge of HR people practices, including payroll and compliance.
• Experience working with HR systems such as Workday HCM.
• Understanding of GDPR requirements.
• Ability to prioritise, manage your own workload and take ownership of tasks.

Required skills

• Strong data management and Excel skills.
