Personal Tax Director

About the role

We are partnering with an award‑winning accountancy firm in Bristol that is expanding its private client practice. The Personal Tax Director will join the senior management team, shaping the direction of the tax division while enjoying a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow a portfolio of personal tax clients, delivering high‑quality advisory services.
• Lead, mentor and expand the internal tax team, overseeing recruitment, training and performance management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Contribute to the firm’s commercial strategy and drive business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, CPA) with proven experience in private client or personal tax.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to nurture client relationships.
• Passion for coaching and developing team members.
• Commercially minded with a focus on firm growth.
