Pharmacist – Retail Healthcare (Swindon)

About the role

This permanent position is based in Swindon and offers the chance to deliver high‑quality pharmaceutical services within a well‑established retail healthcare network. You will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and providing expert medication advice.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide expert advice on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines to customers.
• Maintain safe storage and handling of all pharmaceutical stock.
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff to uphold service standards.
• Offer tailored healthcare advice and guidance to meet individual patient needs.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary administrative tasks.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in pharmaceutical regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote patient health and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and colleagues.
• Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Experience delivering NHS and private pharmacy services.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to support a pharmacy team.
