About the role
Academics is seeking enthusiastic Physics Teachers for secondary schools across West London, starting in September. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an early‑career teacher (ECT), you will join a supportive network that matches you with a variety of placement types.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons for KS3, KS4 and, where possible, KS5.
- Foster scientific curiosity and develop students’ analytical thinking.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support pupil attainment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physics at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering the national Physics curriculum.
- Passion for practical, hands‑on learning.
- Commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
