Platform Engineer

About the role

As a Platform Engineer at Augur you will own the availability, performance and scalability of critical systems, bridging software development and IT operations with a strong engineering mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security and high reliability.
• Automate operational tasks such as deployment, monitoring and incident response using tools like Ansible, Terraform and Python.
• Proactively monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions for high availability and low latency.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, lead incident response, conduct root‑cause analysis and drive preventative measures.
• Analyse usage and cost data to forecast capacity needs and plan resource allocation.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability best practices and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Required profile

• Strong engineering mindset applied to system administration and infrastructure.
• Experience with automation, monitoring and incident management in production environments.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams to promote reliability.
