Playworker – Breakfast & Afterschool Club

About the role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Playworker to join our Breakfast and Afterschool Club in Bromborough. The role starts in September and offers a supportive environment where you can make a real difference to children’s daily experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise children during the breakfast club (Monday‑Friday, 7:15‑8:30) and the after‑school club (Monday & Tuesday, 15:00‑18:00).
- Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, play and social interaction.
- Support individual needs, encourage participation and foster confidence and independence.
- Apply positive behaviour strategies to manage challenging situations.
- Maintain a safe, clean and inclusive environment throughout the sessions.
Required profile
- Relevant childcare qualification or equivalent experience in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, sports coaching or community programmes.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and supportive attitude.
- Strong communication, patience and reliability.
- Genuine passion for children’s development and wellbeing.
