Practice Nurse / Procedure Nurse – Private GP Clinic

About the role

Doc Plus Private GP Clinic is expanding its nurse‑led services and seeks a motivated Practice Nurse / Procedure Nurse to deliver a range of clinical procedures under GP oversight. The role offers a blend of patient‑focused care, practical procedures and the chance to shape a modern private‑healthcare model.

Key responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, injections, urine testing, swabs and sample preparation.
• Conduct ECGs, health‑check measurements and support health‑screening pathways.
• Assist with vaccination clinics, including travel and family vaccinations.
• Monitor weight‑loss programmes, provide injection teaching and follow‑up.
• Carry out ear assessments, ear‑wax removal (microsuction) after competency sign‑off.
• Treat warts, verrucae and selected skin‑tags following training.
• Prepare and chaperone minor surgery and procedure clinics.
• Manage patient recalls, results follow‑up, documentation and safety‑netting.
• Oversee stock control, infection‑prevention and clinical audit.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration.
• Confident phlebotomy and injection skills.
• Excellent documentation and IT competence.
• Calm, safe and organised clinical manner.
• Strong communication and patient‑care abilities.
• Ability to work independently within defined protocols.
• Willingness to learn new procedure‑based skills and know when to escalate to a GP.
