Premises Officer – School Facilities (Lewisham)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Premises Officer to join a supportive school community in Lewisham. The role involves ensuring the campus remains safe, secure, clean and well‑presented, supporting both daily operations and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment across the school site.
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and regular inspections.
• Oversee health‑and‑safety compliance and respond to emergencies.
• Manage external contractors and coordinate planned maintenance projects.
• Prepare rooms and facilities for school activities and events.
• Address maintenance issues promptly and support day‑to‑day operational needs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar premises or facilities role, preferably within an educational setting.
• Strong practical and organisational abilities.
• Good understanding of health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable.
